No Comebacks
session in
The Spirit of The West
In Cornwall (near Truro) you can find a little Wild West Town “Silver City” in the area “The Spirit Of The West”. The peace is kept by sheriff J.B. and his two beautiful young deputies.
When P.J. visited this little town he happened to be there when a few outlaws robbed the bank. Deputy Sheriff Johnny Podd appeared to be a good friend of Vanity Fare member Mark Dean Ellen and they were performing their c&w cowboy act as the duo No Comebacks in Bonnie’s saloon that same night!
The performance was great. Mark Dean Ellen and Johnny Podd gave a great upbeat show and gave an attitude to every song they did!
PJ started out with backing vocals and tambourine and had a great time. The show developed into one big spontaneous session as Bernie Hagley and Steve Oakman from Vanity Fare joined in as well, together with roadie Dave. Sheriff J.B and his daughter Liggy performed a rope dance.
It ended up with everyboy singing and dancing, going from one song into the other.
The members of Vanity Fare showed unexpected sides! Drummer Mark appeared to be a fantasic guitar player and singer, as did keyboard player Steve Oakman. Bass player Bernie Hagley with his fantastic rock n roll sax playing took the show to new heights.
